While rocking out to the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify I was introduced to Lil Skies and his latest record “Riot.” After enjoying the song and hitting the repeat button a few times I did a google search to learn more about the Waynesboro, Pennsylvania based artist, and was excited to see he had also released a video along with the new song “Riot” so we had to check it out.
The record itself features a bass-heavy vibe on the beat that stays pretty consistent throughout. The beat proves to be the perfect compliment to Skies’ hard-hitting/confident bars from beginning to end making for a solid, party-ready track when all is said and done. The visuals feature a street party concept that proves to be both entertaining and exciting! The song and video as a whole are very well done and I gotta say I am a huge fan of this project through and through.
This is the first impression of Lil Skies we have had on Rage Robot but I have no doubt it won’t be our last. We’ll be on the lookout for more music from the up and coming hip-hop hard hitter but for now, we’ll be raging out to “Riot” for a whole minute.
