I was first introduced to the musical stylings of Taska Black when I heard his infectious hit track “Comedown.” The song, at the time, was the soundtrack to my life, and I loved every minute of it!
Since then, I have done my best to keep up with songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Joachim Gorrebeeck (a.k.a. Taska Black) as his music seems to hit a string in my heart just the right way. Today while doing a bit of digging, I came across his latest record, “Heavy Hearted,” featuring Emma Sameth and was an instant fan.
“Heavy Hearted” features a mellow vibe on the track that does a great job of building up some major vocal crescendos soulfully sang by Emma Sameth. The song is somber but has a real light to it that will draw you in almost immediately.
My sister and I have this thing when we are having a bad day. We call it “Having a Tuesday.” We say this cause after a long week of rain with friends, Tuesday is usually the day the come down really hits. I think it’s safe to say “Heavy Hearted” will be my new Tuesday track as it has an easy-going vibe but an uplifting undertone.
I’ll be on the lookout for more new music from both Taska Black and Emma in the future, but for now, I’ll be vibing out to “Heavy Hearted” for a whole minute!
