We have been huge fans of Nina Nesbitt ever since we heard her on the second version of Gabrielle Aplin’s hit record “Miss You 2.” With that said it’s safe to say that anytime we see a new song with her name on it we are pretty quick to give it a listen. I was even more surprised to learn that Deacon featured the young songstress on his debut single and I gotta say the two make for an epic track.
Deacon sets the tone for this record with a solid vibe on the beat that does an amazing job of building up to some pretty climactic drops. Nina’s vocals are cool confident and well produced throughout. I am a huge fan of the stop and go or “Cut Up” sort of effect so this song really stuck with me. The melody is infectious and the song as a whole is a total success!
We’ll be on the lookout for more from Deacon as this is his first single. The attention to detail and the ear for effortlessly cool music tells me he has a huge future ahead of him and we can’t wait to follow his journey!
